“Clutch is the Product” of more than a decade of forward thinking, evolution and transformation.
Passion, artistry and client experience have been ingrained in the Clutch DNA from day one.
David Sutta Photography is born
Miami-based television news reporter, David Sutta, decides to turn his hobby of photography into a small business, servicing portraits, weddings and an occasional corporate client.
The company distinguishes itself in the competitive marketplace by not only delivering great work but guaranteeing great experiences. We innovate, adopt pro-consumer policies and create the photo experience we wanted to have as customers.
The Team Grows
To meet increasing demand, many of our talented freelancers become employees. David hires his first full-time employees.
Expansion to Video
The evolution from photo to video may have been inevitable given David’s vast experience in broadcast television as an Emmy award winning storyteller.
Our client base significantly expands to include some notable companies, from the University of Miami, the Miami Dolphins, eMerge Americas, and Miami Dade County.
DSP takes home several Emmy and Telly honors for commercial content.
Seasonal work becomes year round work. Single one off projects become partnerships.
DSP Repositions
Over 70% of our work is video production. The company repositions resources to better serve the growing demands of corporate clients.
DSP becomes Clutch Content Partners
At this point, nothing about the name David Sutta Photography worked.
No longer was our focus on photography, and our work came from a collective of talented artists, not just David Sutta..
We officially become Clutch Content Partners to better reflect our collective team.
Clutch Studios opens
Now with a double digit team of full-time employees, David decides to open a studio to provide a space for client collaboration, virtual production and broadcasting in Miami’s Civic Center.
There was a lot debate over the new name. At one point we found ourselves in a bar hoping Jim Beam or Jose Cuervo could help us out. Finally on a sober afternoon the word clutch came up… as in “We came in clutch for a client on their project.” It struck a cord because we viewed our role as being the clutch team member for clients… and for our teammates.
The official name is Clutch Content Partners. We view ourselves not only as coming in clutch, but as our client’s partners. It takes a partnership to truly address the challenges and deliver. Also we hope that people don’t confuse us with car repair shops.
